Apsc sensor vs frame12/18/2023 Less noise in high ISO (limited use underwater, except in dark conditions shooting ambient light).Well-liked compacts include Canon GX-7 Mark III, Olympus TG-6, and the Sony RX100 VII. They are evolving though and some of the recent smart phones have some pretty impressive advancements. Disadvantages of compact cameras are reduced battery life, shutter lag (slow auto-focus), and they often employ lower quality optics than their bigger cousins. There are wet lenses available which help to bridge that gap. But the trade offs are you are stuck with one lens. The advantages of smaller systems still apply with compacts. In the right hands a compact camera can deliver some pretty impressive results. Deciding on whether a compact camera is for you depends on what you want to do with your images, and how much flexibility you want as a photographer. High end models generally incorporate the one-inch camera sensor which measures about 13.2 by 8.8 mm, with a 2.7x crop from full frame. Compact SensorsĬompact cameras have even smaller sensors. Popular cameras that use micro-four-thirds sensors are the Olympus OM-D EM5 Mark III, and the Panasonic GH5. The disadvantage is you are getting less information in your final image, and less dynamic range, so more noise. Using systems like these may help you unlock angles not possible with bigger housings, consequently better access to subjects underwater. So if you were using a micro-four-thirds sensor and shooting with a 20mm wide-angle lens you would get an image as if it was taken with a 40mm lens on full frame, a crop factor of two.Īdditional benefits of using cameras with smaller sensors generally suggests a smaller, lighter camera body and housing, which translates to less weight for travel, and an easier rig to manage in and out of the water. When you use a crop-sensor camera, you are effectively zooming in (cropping) on the full frame. The reason it is called full frame is you are seeing 100% of the image. The focal length of any lens is based on the standard 35mm film format. To help you visualize in real terms what that means see the image below with sensor comparisons overlaid. If you look at the diagram, you’ll see the difference. Imagine the view of a full frame sensor and then zooming in 2 times, that’s the view a micro-four-thirds crop sensor will give you. Micro Four Thirds are even smaller and have a crop factor of 2x when compared with a full frame sensor, and they measure 17mm x 13mm. They both offer the photographer a variety of lenses to choose from, and are generally cheaper and smaller than their full frame siblings. Two examples of cameras with APS-C sensors are the Canon 7D MKII, and the Nikon D500. APS-C sensors also work well with small dome ports. Wide angle lenses like the Tokina 10-17mm fisheye are commonly used by underwater shooters, and are specifically designed to work with the APS-C sensor, as is the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye. The increased depth of field (1.6 x more than full frame) makes these cameras popular with macro photographers. You will often hear photographers say that they are more forgiving than a full frame camera. Cameras with APS-C sensors offer a narrower field of view and have increased depth of field (greater in-focus area) than full frame cameras. Cameras used by full frame shooters underwater include the Canon EOS 1DX MKIII, Canon 5DS, and the Nikon D850.ĪPS-C (or 1.5x cropped sensor, 1.6x for Canon) are popular with underwater photographers. Flaws in poor lenses, dome ports, and poor technique may be glaringly obvious when shooting with an FF system as the files they create contain much more detail. The trade off for using an full frame sensor is that they do need to be stopped down to get the equivalent depth of field that an APS-C sensor offers. Full frame cameras offer the best viewfinders due to a larger mirror. Photographers who regularly go after large pelagic subjects like whales, sharks, or dolphins will enjoy the benefits of a larger sensor. Something to be considered if you want to make large prints. They create larger file sizes in camera, and thus more image detail than their smaller counterparts. They also produce better quality images in low light conditions (high ISO performance). Owing to their larger size, they have more dynamic range than an APS-C sensor. A full frame sensor measures 36 x 24 mm while an APS-C sensor measures 22 x 15mm, so the full frame sensor is effectively 2.6 times larger. Cameras with full frame sensors (also known as FX (Nikon), FF, 35mm, or 1.0x crop) are more suited to wide angle, and available light work.

Ultra short throw projector12/18/2023 It has a native resolution of 2,716 x 1,528, which is shifted twice to hit 4K. Like many other UST units, the HU915QE relies on pixel shifting to achieve a visible 4K resolution. Newer UST projectors with three distinct RGB lasers, like the HiSense PX1-Pro, can reach a wider 107 percent of the BT.2020 gamut. That setup works well, but it can only reach 94 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The HU915QE is a triple laser projector, relying on red and blue lasers for their respective primary colors, as well as another blue laser shining through a phosphor to create green. The improved contrast also made the HU915QE better suited for dark scenes, like the spooky nighttime sequences in Nope where you’re trying to make out something floating through the clouds. Colorful films like Thor Ragnarok looked just fine on the previous projector, but the new model delivered a far bolder dose of cosmic psychedelia. Almost immediately, I noticed that it produced richer and more vibrant colors than the CineBeam HU85L. While my setup wasn't ideal, the CineBeam HU915QE still delivered most of what I wanted: A large and luscious dose of cinema in my basement screening room. If you want to use a UST during the day like a TV, you'll definitely want to push away as much ambient light as possible. Those are built to block light from everywhere but your projector, which means they'll deliver even better brightness and contrast. If you're building your home theater or living room around a UST projector, you'll ideally want to use a tensioned ALR (ambient light rejection) screen. After tweaking the manual focus wheel a bit, it ended up covering the same area of my screen. Thankfully, I was able to drop the HU915QE into the exact same spot as the earlier CineBeam. Ultimately, I was able to get the older CineBeam to fill around 98 percent of my 120-inch screen, but I gave up on the dream of having the whole thing covered. That's when I learned that dropdown screens aren't ideal for UST projectors (Engadget's Steve Dent also found that small creases in dropdown screens could lead to rippled images). Even then, I couldn't quite get the image to fill every corner of my screen properly. That involved buying a small table and stacking a few wide boxes to get everything aligned. When I tested the previous CineBeam HU85L, it took me a few hours to find the proper position to work alongside my dropdown projector screen. That’s hard to do with a traditional projector, but far too easy when it’s just sitting on the floor) (Also, you don't want kids peeking into the projector lens, as it's bright enough to cause serious eye damage. That makes USTs less than ideal for homes with small children or overzealous pets. If it gets nudged by even a millimeter, the image will simply look wrong. But configuring a UST like the CineBeam involves finding the exact height and distance from the screen to make everything look perfect. With a traditional long- or short-throw projector, you're often able to shift the lens around manually. Configuring any projector is a pain, as you'll need to place it in just the right spot to fill your screen. That setup process, by the way, is more annoying than you'd think. It's not exactly heavy, at 26.9 pounds, but you definitely need a wide table or credenza to align it with your screen. (There's also a black model for better nighttime viewing, though that one inexplicably spits out a darker image.) Around back, there are three HDMI ports, 2 USB connections, an optical audio port and Ethernet. Its front speaker is covered in cloth, and the entire unit is encased in a solid light gray plastic. Still, LG gave it enough flair to make it look at home in a classy living room. The HU915QE looks similar to most other UST projectors - it's just a large rectangular box - and its design is practically the same as the previous CineBeam. I just wish it was cheaper than $5,000 - with the Formovie unit coming in at thousands less, it's hard to justify LG's premium. (Unfortunately, it doesn't support Dolby Vision, a rare feature we were surprised to see on the Formovie UST.) The new CineBeam can also be pushed even closer to your wall with the ability to spit out a 90-inch 4K image from 2.2-inches away, or a 120-inch image from 7.2-inches. It's brighter than its predecessor, reaching up to 3,700 lumens with a 2,00,000:1 contrast ratio, which makes it ideal for daytime viewing and HDR content. Now after spending a few months with the company's latest UST, the CineBeam HU915QE, I'm even more enamored.

Easeus todo backup home trial12/18/2023 In some cases, ads may be show to the users. Freeware products can be used free of charge for both personal and professional (commercial use). Hope you get your things back.Freeware programs can be downloaded used free of charge and without any time limitations. I know you've probably moved on by now but good luck. You can then do a file backup for quick restores (assuming that was what was slowing you down) but I'd keep a file backup (of your must have quickly available files) AND a system drive clone (better for restoring after a a system drive replacement or to migrate to new hardware build). If you don't have the option to do this to save your data I'd fully restore that full disk clone to another disk and retrieve your files. Have you tried using a file backup instead? It should restore quicker. My only question is, are you attempting to restore a single file from a disk/partition clone? That's how I read it and if so that might be why it's taking so long. For the price, this is not bad software at all. However, a little troubleshooting and I've always been able to get through it. I do wish their support was better and the community wider so you could google error messages easily. Sorry you're having trouble but I've been using Easus for three years without issue really. Restored it to new NVMe SSD and booted without issue other than doing the usual BCD repair after a clone restore. I'm so angry it's really hard not to swear. Same goes for Marlin firmware and Reprap Firmware folders. I have one folder with 3D scans that I need for my work that contain thousands of datapoints, I cannot get these back. This will make it virtually impossible to retrieve some of my files and I have to consider them lost. I have one folder of 3Mb that will take an hour 24 hours(!), and then one folder of 7Gb that took only 20 seconds. So if you have a folder with firmware, good luck. I hope the Easeus Todo Backup staff steps onto a lego with their bare feet!Įdit Let me emphasize that the issue lies mostly in transferring many small files as opposed to a few big ones. Now I have to let this run probably till well into tomorrow before I can even use this one folder, not to mention all the other data I still have to retrieve. Take this warning, and go for another backup program. 55 minutes to restore just one folder from the backup, but now after half an hour the time estimate has disappeared and the progress bar is still under 1%. At first it displayed it would take approx. I'm so bummed out because this is my work computer and I trust companies to put out good software, I mean, they are advertising that their software is good, so that claim is obviously ridiculous. I have disabled Windows Defender to speed it up a but, but it seems like it's even taking around 1 to 5 seconds for files that aren't even 1Kb. I'm afraid Easeus Todo Backup is a terrible solution as the restore function is extremely slow. However, now after a fresh reinstall I'm pulling one folder from the backup that I made, just one folder, and I've been staring at a progress bar that didn't even get to 1% in 25 minutes. Now that already took over a couple of hours for 250Gb. Hi all, so, after reading a bunch of positive reviews about this piece of software I dediced to use Easeus Todo Backup to backup my entire drive onto a 2nd SSD internal disk.

Pappiledema vs normal retina12/17/2023 Myelinated nerve fibers refers to the atypical myelination of intraocular nerve fibers, occuring in 0.3-0.6% of the population by ophthalmoscopy. Tilted disc syndrome Congenital anomaliesĬongenital anomalies of the optic disc may also mimic papilledema by causing portions of the disc to elevate. For example, disc drusen may be associated with retinitis pigmentosa, Usher syndrome, pseudoxanthoma elasticum, angioid streaks, Noonan syndrome, Alagille syndrome, megalencephaly, and migraine headaches. Optic nerve head drusen can be inherited as part of a genetic syndrome with other ocular or systemic manifestations. Deeper, “buried” drusen are not visible with fundoscopy and maybe difficult to differentiate from papilledema. Over time, the drusen can result in elevation of the optic nerve head. Drusen consists of extracellular deposits of calcium, hyaline, and other proteins caused by impaired axoplasmic flow resulting in extrusion of drusen or degeneration of the retinal ganglion cell nerve fiber axons. A complete review of optic disc drusen can be found on the optic disc drusen page. Optic nerve head drusen is the most common cause of pseudopapilledema, occurring in 0.34%-2.4% of individuals. Optic nerve drusen on CT scan of the orbit Optic nerve head drusen Pseudopapilledema can be caused by a number of local and systemic processes. In this article, we will cover multiple causes of pseudopapilledema and how to differentiate them from true papilledema. Patients thought to have papilledema are often subjected to lumbar puncture, MRI, and extensive laboratory studies to find the underlying cause. It is important to distinguish pseudopapilledema from true papilledema, which can be the first sign of disease process with the potential for vision loss, neurological impairment, or death. Papilledema, on the other hand, is a swelling of the optic disc due to increased intracranial pressure. Pseudopapilledema is defined as anomalous elevation of one or both optic discs without edema of the retinal nerve fiber layer. 2.3.6 Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Magnetic resonance venography (MRV).2.3.3 Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA).2.3.2 Optical coherence tomography (OCT).2.3.1 A-scan and B-scan ultrasonography. |
